In 1502, 508 years ago, the Plaza de Bib Rambla, Granada, was the scene of an "exemplary punishment", ordered by the Archbishop of Toledo, Cardinal Cisneros, set fire to thousands of books with the excuse of being "pagans and heretics." Treated burned medicine, science, literature, books of Christian authors, a translation of the Bible into Arabic ...
