FEBRUARY 9 IN CADIZ, Andalucia TOMORROW: GENERAL STRIKE!
for next Tuesday, February 9, the Andalusian union workers (SAT) has called a general strike in a dozen municipalities in the province of Cadiz, in response to critical socio-economic status who are suffering broad popular blackened even further following the recent approval of delaying retirement, and demand urgent action to ensure the basic rights of citizenship (employment, housing, etc) against the spoliation public funds to further enrich the banks, multinationals and wealthy classes.
From Granada, the SAT approved at its last meeting of members an information campaign at provincial level for the next few days, involving the distribution of press releases to the media, distribution of leaflets, putting up posters and holding a press conference to explain the reasons for the call for general strike district and the urgent need for a general strike in Spain. The culmination of this campaign will be next Tuesday 9 am to 7 pm, with a certified concentration against the Civil Government of Grenada in the Gran Via, which will be presented to sub-delegate Government (ex-Communist PCE) of a letter of complaint about persistent and savage anti-working class of the PSOE government: extending the retirement age, the VAT increase, budget cuts of € 50,000 million public sector ( less than the Royal Family, Church, army and public officials), pillage and expulsion from their homes to families who can not pay the mortgage, etc.
In the short history of the SAT-Granada is perhaps the most ambitious mobilization that we've set, so it is vital to the widest possible dissemination of materials and participation by all our members, girls and supporters. Something we
doing well as from political and economic power, police, judiciary and media are peppering the SAT: denial of grants, concealment and / or criminalization of news in the media, a fine of nearly half a million euros, prosecution rigged ( day 11 a co-Jaén faces a request for 4 years in prison on false charges, etc.). That's the price for performing an honest trade unionism, independent, consistent and proud.
